A board of directors made up of carefully selected community volunteers oversees New York State Crime Stoppers. Once a month, more frequently when necessary, the board meets, reviews all cases and makes a determination about the amount to be rewarded for each tip leading to an arrest.

The Anti-Terrorism Rewards are intended to prevent any further terrorist attacks and rewards will be given for tips that result in the arrest and conviction of a terrorist or of anyone aiding a terrorist.
